While there are advantages to using this type of cookware, such asHygiene and shelf-life, the cooking in those areas are not completely void of drawbacks. A major concern when using stainless steel is that it is a poor conductor of heat and distributor of heat. In the kitchen, this leads to an uneven distribution of heat and requires a longer time to prepare your meals.
This can deal a setback to individuals such as working mothers, that it will go fast. Having said this, but please, certify that the virtues outweigh this disadvantage certainly be as youyou find below.
Since I cook almost every day, investing in a good and reliable collection of cooking was a necessity. I chose the Cuisinart stainless steel cookware after my discovery of the following:
Stainless steel cookware is made of alloy or mixture of metals. This gives it its durability and resistance to scratches, dents and rust. A bonus is that the last cookware is to come for many years (probably something you would consider handing downnext generation). The cookware is versatile in that they do not react with acid or alkaline foods. What this means for users is that the cookware can without the worry of the material pitting or corrosion are used in the manufacture of all types of food. Because these pots and pans do not react with acidic foods, it does not affect the taste of these foods to a healthier means of cooking (which I tend to use less spice, as a result) The cookware can be the ideal choice forHealth-conscious, since the material no pores or cracks, the existence of which harbor dirt, soot or even worse, bacteria.
Stainless steel cookware is available in different price ranges that make their quality and reflect. If you are looking to invest in such utensils, you should also in the integration of the inner core of copper or aluminum-look not only at the base of the cookware, but also to the full height of its sides. pretty n efficient - Allison Thornton - Jersey City, NJ United States
this seemed like such a deal, i couldn't pass it up. i'm sooo glad i didn't. they are shiny, and purrty, and i didn't think they would work as well as they looked. Alas, they do!
Conducts heat very well, and has just enough weight to be balanced on my gas stovetop. the handles don't get hot, so i am able to drain pasta, pour off broth, etc without the 'heat grimace' or the pre-blessing on my pot-holder's heat resistance. I'm very happy with these, and i would get them for everyone i know if i could financially do so. ;)
perfect for singles - Coffee Lover - Los Angeles, CA
This little set is perfect for those who live alone or live with another person. I don't need a lot of different kinds of pots and pans. I live alone in a small apartment and my kitchen is very small. The less I have, the better. This starter set is the perfect size. I can cook just about anything with these.
Non-stick coating is wearing off - W. Phelps -
I am disappointed with this set - particularly with the saucepans. Despite using nothing but wooden spoons, in less than six months, the non-stick coating in all three saucepans have started to flake off. The frying pans are still holding up well, but I expected more from Cuisinart.
About Cuisinart Cookware set - Susmitha Karanam -
Recently i bought a cuisinart hard anodized set...Everything is good. But the problem is with Lid. Lid is loosely tightened. When i was cooking something lid is becoming hot...Whenever i tried to hold it with bare hands it is burning...so this is one drawback with lid.Lid is not tightly fitted..so I'm nt satisfied with this cookware set. but the cooking vessels r gud...
Great pots! - Mark J. Hanna - Blue Ridge Mtns
Purchased this set for my daughter, after having two sets of my own for several years. They are great to use, and very easy to clean. Best we have ever had, and a much better value than some of the similar products.
WARNING - DO NOT BUY THESE PANS - Avid Gardner - Illinois, USA
These pans are a total waste of money. I bought a set less than two years ago and the non-stick finish is peeling off. The pans have been handwashed every time and nothing but nylon or wooden utensils used. I contacted Cuisinart and was told I could send them back at my expense to be "evaluated". The pans are not worth the postage and there is no guarantee that they would be replaced so I'll save my money and buy a different brand. I have stopped cooking in them because I don't feel they are safe with the finish peeling off. I wouldn't want to get it in my food.
horrible-waste of money - getsmokn14 - centralia,il
after only two weeks of use coating coming off! now after six weeks every pan in set has coating coming off! totally worthless! i thought cuisnart meant quality..totally a waste of money!
Non-stick coating flaking off - D. Piche -
Overall they are holding up after 3 months of use. But, the smallest pot has the non-stick coating bubbling and in some cases flaking off. These have not been abused- put in a dishwasher or abrasively scrubbed or put in the oven. I'm not sure if it can't handle the heat of the gas burner. Still, I have to stop using this one.
